Cook Lobster On A Barbecue

While most people think of lobster boiling in a pot, you can also cook it on a barbecue grill. This guide will show you the best method for barbecuing a whole lobster. This will save you time, especially if you have to prepare several of these. By cutting out the splitting and trimming of the lobsters before putting them on the grill, you can have dinner ready faster.

Instructions

1. Heat the barbecue to medium or medium-high heat. If you have a gas grill, you can set it to this setting, but if you are using charcoals, you should be able to hold your hand over the coals at the same level as the food will be for only 4 to 5 seconds before you have to pull it away.

2. Place the whole lobsters on the barbecue with their shell side down.

3. Cook on the first side until the shell turns bright red. This will be about 5 minutes.

4. Flip the lobsters and cook on the other side for another 5 to 9 minutes or until the entire shell is bright red.

5. Serve the lobster on serving platters with lemon wedges, melted butter, seafood forks, claw crackers and lots of paper towels.
