Choose A Deep Fryer

Who doesn't love deep fried food? Unfortunately, deep frying food at home can seem intimidating. This is especially true if you choose to do your deep frying on the stove top. If you purchase a deep fryer though, things become easier. Of course, there are steps you need to follow to find the perfect deep fryer.

Instructions

1. Look for an immersion heating element. Immersion deep fryers heat up more quickly than models that have the heating element bonded to the bottom of the pot. Immersion elements also make the deep fryer easier to clean.

2. Choose a model with a removable oil reservoir. A removable oil reservoir makes cleanup a snap. It also makes it easier to filter and store your leftover oil.

3. Find a model with varying temperatures. Varying temperatures allow you to deep fry your food perfectly. This is because some foods fry best at 350 degree, while others fry best at 375 degrees.

4. Pick the perfect size. If you're just frying foods for yourself, you won't need a very large model. If your frying for a large family though, you'll need a large deep fryer. Some models are so large that they hold two baskets.

5. Remember that a safety cord is a must. Deep frying can be extremely dangerous. A safety cord breaks away easily should something get snagged on the cord. This prevents the deep fryer from spilling hot oil all over you and your kitchen.
