Paper Plate Crafts Of Santa Clause

Make a cute Santa craft out of an ordinary paper plate.

Celebrate Christmas and the winter holiday season by creating a fun Santa Claus craft out of a paper plate and other craft supplies. This project can be completed by children and adults and hung on the wall, Christmas tree or refrigerator through the holiday season.

Instructions

1. Color the back of a paper plate with a skin-tone crayon or marker. You can also use skin-tone colored construction paper glued to the plate.

2. Place a piece of red paper on the plate, covering the top of Santa's head. Draw two lines where the paper reaches the edge of the plate so you'll know where to cut it. Cut the red piece of paper into the shape of a Santa hat. You can also cover the hat with a piece of red fabric for extra decoration.

3. Glue the hat onto the paper plate. Glue a strip of white paper or a few cotton balls onto the bottom of the hat to create a brim. Glue a cotton ball onto the top of the hat.

4. Draw a face onto Santa with markers or crayons. You can also glue googly eyes onto the face and use construction paper cut-outs for the nose and mouth.

5. Glue cotton balls onto the bottom of the plate to form Santa's beard. You can also give him a mustache, but be sure to leave room for his mouth.

Tips Warnings

Add your child's name and the year to the back of Santa Clause as a memory to be cherished in years to come.
