Cellular shades provide insulation and sound absorption and are durable. Although they are durable, sometimes they require replacement. Cellular shades install virtually the same as mini blinds or venetian blinds. The major difference between cellular shades and other blinds is that there are no openings between slats. Removing cellular shades requires only the use of a screwdriver. If you are reusing the shade, take care not to damage the pleats while the shade is off the window.
Instructions
1. Disconnect the bottom of the cellular shade from the bottom hold down brackets. Grasp the bottom rail with both hands and shift it to one end. Lift the opposite end out of the bracket and shift the rail in the other direction to remove completely from the brackets.
2. Remove the screws securing the bottom brackets to the wall with a Phillips head screwdriver. Use the cord on the right side of the cellular shade to raise the shade to the head rail.
3. Grasp the head rail near each end with your hands. Your fingers should be under the head rail with your thumbs on top. Press the back of the head rail toward you to unclip the rear of the rail from the top brackets.
4. Pull the back of the head rail down while pushing the top front of the head rail toward the wall to release the front clips. Pull the head rail completely away from the wall.
5. Turn the screws securing the top brackets to the wall counterclockwise with a Phillips head screwdriver.
