Keep Beds From Moving On Wood Floors

Use furniture grip pads under the bed.

Wood floors are common in many bedrooms as they are traditional and subtle. One problem with wood floors is that their smoothness may allow furniture to slip around. When a bed slips while you are trying to get into it, it could lead to a dangerous slip or fall. This makes it important to incorporate elements that prevent the bed from moving on the wood floor.

Instructions

1. Cut four pieces of furniture grip pads to the size of each bed post foot. These pads are typically made of a non-slip rubber-textured material.

2. Place the pads under each bed foot. The pads will hold the bed in place without harming the bed posts or the wood floor.

3. Roll out an area rug and place it under the bed, using a rug large enough to cover all four bed posts. This is a quick way to add a design element to the room while also preventing the bed from moving on the wood floor. A non-skid pad beneath the rug can help keep things in place.
