Hook Up A Svga Computer To An Hdmi Input

Hook Up a SVGA Computer to an HDMI Input

SVGA cables are the default video cables for computing. Connecting a computer to a high definition screen is ideal for those who like to watch both high definition video and surf the internet from the convenience of the same screen. Some equipment is required to convert the analog SVGA signal to the digital HDMI, but the process of getting everything connected is simple.

Instructions

1. Connect one end of the VGA cable into the SVGA output on the computer, while connecting the other end into the VGA input on the video converter box.

2. Plug the HDMI cable into the HDMI ports on the video converter and the video display, respectively.

3. Change the channel on the video display to the HDMI port. On televisions, this will be a set channel. On a monitor, there will be a feed switch button that changes between VGA/DVI and HDMI feeds.

Tips Warnings

A VGA to HDMI Video Converter can cost several hundred dollars. Keep this in mind before considering this.
