Cook Alligator







Alligator meat is available in many countries. The most popular part of the alligator to cook is the tail, which is reportedly as tender as veal. Although many people have eaten alligator meat, very few have attempted to cook it due to its lack of availability. Follow these steps to learn options of cook alligator.


Instructions


1. Braise the alligator meat. Wash the alligator meat with water. Dry using a paper towel. Cut it up into small squares and place in a frying pan with a small amount of water or broth. Cook on low for one half hour or until it is tender.


2. Pan fry the alligator's tail meat by placing it in a hot frying pan with oil or butter. Fry it for about two minutes on each side. You can also grind the alligator's tail meat, mix it with egg, roll it in flour and fry it.


3. Stew the alligator meat by cutting it up and covering it with spices and flour. Brown it, then put it in a dutch oven with stew ingredients of your choice. Cook at 325 degrees F until the alligator is tender.


4. Grill the tail meat by marinating it in spices and milk for approximately three hours or longer, if you desire. Pour out the marinade. Rub the alligator tail in oil. Grill it for about 10 minutes on each side.


5. Broil the alligator tail by slicing it in thin strips. Rub it with butter and broil it for seven to eight minutes on each side.
