Make A Banana Cream Smoothie

Smoothies are a good way to get your daily supply of fruit in one drink. A banana cream smoothie is a special treat and easy to make. This recipe has heavy cream, but you could alter the ingredients to reduce the fat and still have a refreshing and healthy banana smoothie.

Instructions

1. Set up your blender and arrange your ingredients in the order you'll be using them.

2. Chop a large ripe banana and place it in the blender. Avoid overly ripe darkened bananas.

3. Pour 2 cups of milk into the blender. Reduce the fat by using 2 percent milk or some other substitute.

4. Add one scoop of vanilla ice cream. You can also use a frozen yogurt to reduce the fat content of your smoothie.

5. Place the lid on the blender and blend the mixture on high for about 30 seconds or until blended to the desired consistency. A regular blender will do the job, but if you have a high-powered whole food processors, you can get more creative with the ingredients you add to your smoothies.

6. Empty your smoothie into a tall glass and top it with a dollop of whipping cream for an extra treat. Leave it off if you're worried about the extra fat and calories.
