Make Grilled Chicken Strips

Prepare chicken using a variety of cooking methods such as roasting, frying, baking and grilling. Grilling the chicken can infuse it with smoky flavors. Slicing chicken breasts into strips cooks the poultry faster. Threading the strips onto skewers allows you to turn them easily so that they finish cooking at the same time. Once the chicken strips finish cooking, serve them over a bed of rice or add them to a fresh salad.

Instructions

1. Cut boneless chicken breasts in half. Slice the chicken into 3/4-inch to 1-inch wide strips. Thread the chicken strips onto metal skewers.

2. Prepare the grill for direct grilling and heat it to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Clean the grates with a grill brush to remove burned food and debris.

3. Baste the chicken and grill grates with olive oil to prevent the chicken from sticking. Season the chicken strips with a liquid marinade or dry seasonings if you desire.

4. Grill the chicken strips for six to eight minutes or until thoroughly cooked. Turn the strips over halfway through the cooking time.

5. Remove the chicken strips when the juice runs clear and the inside no longer appears pink.
