Make A Perfect Espresso Shot

For all the coffee addicts out there, you know the difference between a good espresso shot and a lousy one. Here is a sure fire way to ensure that you always make a perfect espresso shot from the comforts of your own kitchen.

Instructions

1. If you have coffee beans, then you need to grind them up in a grinder. If you bought coffee that has already been ground, then you’re fine.

2. Since the coffee granules are very sensitive and the tamp can be affected by temperature and atmospheric changes, it can make getting the perfect shot a bit difficult if you don’t have the perfect conditions. But with most home espresso machines, they’ve taken most of the guess work out for you and you’ll more than likely always get a nice espresso.

3. Once the coffee has been grounded, pack the brass filter with coffee grounds and affix it back into the machine.

4. Be sure to fill the machine with water to boil for the needed pressure.

5. Set your timer to record the shot. A perfect espresso shot falls within the range of 18 to 23 seconds. Anything under or over that time frame will not taste good.

6. Turn the machine on and have it make you an espresso shot.

7. Notice that a perfect shot not only will fall within the designated time range above, but will also have a perfect division of three layers. The bottom layer will be the darkest, the middle a lighter beige color, and the top layer will be the creme.

8. If the machine produces the perfect espresso shot for you, within 18 to 23 seconds and delivers the 3-layer shot, it will automatically stop brewing.

9. If all these conditions are met, then voila, you just made the perfect espresso shot. Now enjoy it!
