Improve Health With Calendula Tea

Calendula, also known as Pot Marigold, has been used as an herbal remedy for many years. When made into an oil or a cream, calendula is used to treat eczema and other skin problems. Flower petals of the calendula can be used to make tea. Drinking calendula tea can fight some illnesses and improve overall health, because it has flavonoids that prevent infection and inflammation.

1. Drink calendula tea up to three times a day as a body cleanser. Detoxify and protect the liver, gallbladder and other organs from long-term damage or failure. Calendula tea is also known for reducing fever and sore throat associated with the common cold or other viral infections.








2. Use calendula tea to prevent or relieve stomach problems. This herb can relieve gastritis, or inflammation of the stomach lining, as well as stomach ulcers and other digestive problems.


3. Take calendula tea to relieve conjunctivitis, or "pink eye." The flavonoids that derive from the flowers of the calendula can clear or prevent symptoms of this eye infection internally.








4. Treat menstrual cramps or menopausal discomfort by drinking calendula tea. The same flavonoids that reduce pain and inflammation also ease cramping and hot flashes.


5. Repair skin damage and fight aging by drinking calendula tea. This herb also contains carotenoids, which act as antioxidants that promote healthier skin.
