Talk To A Girl You Like A Lot

Be yourself when you talk to her. She will appreciate your honesty.

Communication between guys and gals can be tricky. People sometimes forget the importance of talking and listening. Someone once said that just because you hear doesn't mean that you listen. If there is someone special that you want to talk to and get to know, refer to these tips. Self-respect and respect for her will take you a long way in a conversation. Make eye contact and relax. Remember to be yourself.

Instructions

1. If you are brave enough, make a joke to break the ice. Avoid crude or offensive humor. Nothing starts off an interesting conversation like a joke. Ladies sometimes enjoy a little humor.

2. Do not call her by the wrong name when you initially approach her. If you do not care enough to find out what her name is, you probably shouldn't pursue her. Save your interest and efforts for someone who really intrigues you and spurs you into action. Find out from friends her first and last name so that when you approach her to request her phone number or a date, she will give it to you.

3. Make eye contact. Nothing demonstrates confidence more than looking someone squarely in the eye and speaking directly to them. Whether you make small talk or initiate a serious conversation regarding a possible relationship, you need to show her that you are confident with yourself and your ability to relate to her.

4. Speak clearly. An important conversation, such as one about your impending Friday night date, should include as few excuse me's? and huh's? as possible. Try to avoid swearing, as some ladies are turned off by guys who use choice words.

5. Be yourself. If your desire is for this young lady to like you for you, she needs to see your authenticity. Do not conform to the ideals that you think she is seeking in a mate. Express yourself freely, but respectfully. Tell her about your goals and dreams, but when she is speaking, listen intently. Ask her questions to let her know that you were listening and not just daydreaming.

6. Be respectful of her. Remember what your mom and dad taught you about opening doors and pulling out chairs. Not only will she notice, but others will as well. Keep your eyes and ears glued to her. Do not stare at her body parts below the neckline or those of others. If her body is of importance to you, steal short glimpses when she looks away. You may comment on her appearance, but avoid any sexual connotations. For example, tell her that she has a beautiful smile.

7. Pay her a compliment. Ladies sometimes spend hours getting ready for meetings or dates. They dress themselves in outfits that they think you'll like and style their hair and makeup in ways that they hope will make them more attractive to you. Giving her a compliment lets her know that you took notice of the effort she put in to look gorgeous. Tell her that she is wearing a nice bracelet or pretty earrings.

8. Avoid criticizing her. If you are critical of the shirt she is wearing, her choice of classes for the fall semester or the car she is driving, you may destroy any chance of a romantic relationship.

9. Mind your manners after you have landed that first date. Remember your yes ma'ams and no sirs when talking to elders. If she witnesses your respectfulness of others, she may realize that your good manners were not conjured up to impress her. Also, reserve loud belching and passing gas for a night with the guys. Make inquiries about her perspective of the date. For example, ask her if she enjoyed the movie, if her meal is delicious or if there is something else she would rather do.

Tips Warnings

Always keep breath mints handy. Avoid smelly foods such as garlic, onions or fish when you know you will be in close proximity to a lady.
