Use RCA composite A/V cables to hook up a Comcast cable box if your TV has these types of open jacks.
Comcast is one of the leading cable companies in the United States that provides businesses and homeowners with cable television. Customers use a cable box connected to their television to watch digital television broadcasts provided from Comcast. If you purchase a new TV or need to move the Comcast cable box to another television set, you will need to hook up the box. Accomplish this with two coaxial cables, or one coaxial cable and an RCA composite audio/video cable.
Instructions
1. Check the television to see what types of connections are available. Look for a RF In' (coaxial) jack, or for open A/V In (red, white and yellow) jacks.
2. Connect the first coaxial cable from the cable outlet to the back of the Comcast cable box using the RF In jack. Skip to Step 5 if you plan to use the RCA composite A/V cable to connect the Comcast box.
3. Connect the second coaxial cable to the back of the Comcast cable box using the RF Out or To TV jack.
4. Connect the other end of this coaxial cable to the back of the television using the RF In or Coaxial/Cable In jack. Turn the TV on to either channel 3 or 4 to watch Comcast programming.
5. Connect one end of the RCA composite A/V cable to the back of the Comcast box. Match the color of the connectors to the corresponding jacks, such as red to red, white to white and yellow to yellow.
6. Connect the other end of the cable to the television using A/V In jacks. Match the connectors to the jack.
