A candy buffet is a popular display of sweets for parties and weddings alike. The key to having a successful candy buffet spread is to stock up on those candy treats that match the colors, designs and theme of your event--and then make a visual spectacle with the candy.
Instructions
1. Choose candy in colors that match your event's theme. For a white wedding, consider using yogurt-covered almonds and for a Valentine's day spread, red jelly beans.
2. Stock your candy buffet with flavors that complement your event's theme. For example, pineapple and tropical-flavored candies are choices well-suited to a luau-themed party.
3. Add flair to your candy buffet by serving your candy in clear containers, uniquely designed dishes or martini glasses.
4. Determine the number of guests who will be attending the event so that you can stock your candy buffet accordingly. Be sure to have a table that is long enough to display the candy.
5. Use scoops to allow guests to help themselves to loose candies; make sure you have to-go baggies for them to fill and take home.
6. Add the finishing touch to your candy buffet with corresponding table decor. For example, for a luau you could add tropical flowers in between the candy dishes.
