Host A Vegetarian Dinner Party

If you're planning a dinner party for a group of vegetarians, it doesn't have to be a difficult endeavor. There are plenty of delicious, vegetarian-friendly dishes you can prepare, without a whole lot of work required. With a little preparation and culinary creativity, you'll have a success of a vegetarian dinner party in no time. Follow these steps in order to host a dinner party for the non-meat eating crowd.

Instructions

1. Come up with creative, vegetarian-friendly appetizers. Some great ideas include crackers and cheese, fried zucchini sticks, celery and hummus, and assorted nuts. Be sure to have plenty of wine on hand, as well.

2. Think up several diverse salads to serve with your main courses. Many vegetarians love three bean salad, coleslaw, and Greek feta salad.

3. In several bowls, place salad fixings such as spinach leaves, boiled egg, croutons, onions, and mushrooms for a "make your own salad." Be sure to have plenty of salad dressings on hand for each guest.

4. Create innovative, delicious entrees. Black beans and rice, falafel, macaroni and cheese, veggie burgers, and tabouli are all great meat-alternatives most any vegetarian enjoys.

5. Placing soft, sliced bread around the table is a great addition to a vegetarian dinner party. Include classics such as an Italian baguette, French loaf, pumpernickel, and rye. Be sure to place out butter and margarine, as well.

6. Dessert is an easy vegetarian dinner party fix. Vegetarians can eat chocolate, fruit, and cake among other popular desserts. Set up a strawberry and dark chocolate dip station, as well as an angel food cake with strawberry sauce. Have coffee and champagne on hand to accompany all of the sweets.
