Reheat Quiches In Microwaves

Reheat a quiche in the microwave rather than the oven if you're short on time.

Quiches contain a mixture of milk, eggs and cheese, and often meats and vegetables, as well, depending on the recipe. Quiche can be stored in the refrigerator or in the freezer. A quiche reheated in the microwave needs to be monitored carefully to avoid it becoming soggy. The crust will not be as flaky when you reheat the quiche in the microwave, but it will allow you to enjoy the dish when in a hurry.

Instructions

1. Thaw the quiche completely before heating it in the microwave. Place the quiche on a microwave-safe plate. Remove any plastic or foil wrapping from the quiche.

2. Set the microwave on the medium-high power setting, which is around 70 percent power.

3. Microwave the quiche for two-and-a-half to five minutes until it is heated thoroughly. The internal temperature must reach 165 degrees Fahrenheit. For best results, microwave the quiche in two-minute intervals to avoid overheating.
