Instructions

1. Empty candle jars are useful for other craft projects.

Select a 12 ounce candle crock, or jar, of any shape. Choose one that you can see through. Tinted clear glass can add a decorative accent to the jar. Candle crocks as well as the other materials needed for this craft can be found at any craft or hobby supply store or online.

2. Potpourri blends possess varying scents.

Add the potpourri mix to the jar. One cup of potpourri added to a 12 ounce jar leaves just a small amount of space at the top. This is necessary for adding extra decorating touches to the jar, which are optional. Potpourri mixes vary, or you can create your own by following any potpourri recipe.

3. Wrap a 12-inch length of ribbon around the mouth of the candle crock. Tie it into a simple bow. This adds a frilly touch to the candle jar. Select a wide gauge ribbon of at least an inch in width. Select any color that accents the colors of the potpourri in the jar, or a color that corresponds with your home decor scheme.
