Get The Marble Out Of A Bottle Of Ramune

Fans of Ramune, a type of Asian bottled drink, sometimes want the marble inside the bottle. The marble slows down the flow of the liquid in the bottle. For some, this is frustrating, though it's not necessary to remove the marble to enjoy the drink. The method you use depends on whether or not you want to keep the bottle. While the screwdriver way works, it takes longer than simply breaking the bottle.

Instructions

Breaking the Bottle

1. Remove the cap from the bottle of Ramune. Set the cap aside or throw it away.

2. Pour the liquid slowly out of the bottle and through the stainer. If you use two glasses, stop pouring the Ramune once the glass is almost full. Pour the rest in the second glass.

3. Set the empty bottle into a mop bucket. Tap the lower portion of the bottle with a rubber mallet to break the glass. Put on a pair of work gloves. Pick the marble out of the broken glass. Throw the broken glass in the trash.

Removing the Plastic Guard

4. Pour the liquid out of the bottle.

5. Hold the bottle firmly with one hand. Slip the end of a flat-head screwdriver underneath the lip of the bottle. Hold the bottle so the screwdriver is not pointed toward your face.

6. Pry off the lid. Tilt the bottle and collect the marble.
