Make A Mocha Coffee Drink

Mocha drinks are a dream come true for those who love coffee as much as they love chocolate. While many people feel that adding a bit of instant hot chocolate mix to their coffee is all they need, a true mocha is far more gourmet.

Instructions

1. Brew a shot of espresso. If you don't own an espresso machine, double brew your regular coffee or use instant espresso. Add the espresso powder to hot water and stir well.

2. Heat whole milk in a small pan on low heat, stirring constantly to prevent scalding. Add a few tablespoons of chocolate and heat until the milk begins to expand and the chocolate melts. You can use dark chocolate, milk chocolate or white chocolate.

3. Combine the heated chocolate milk and shot of espresso and stir. You can add extras to your cafe mocha, including whiskey, Irish creme, vanilla or raspberry flavoring or stir your mocha with a peppermint candy cane. Top your mocha with whipped cream and chocolate chips and serve.
