Make Loaded Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Loaded Garlic Mashed Potato


Loaded garlic mashed potatoes are a restaurant favorite. You don't have to wait for a night out to have them, however. You can enjoy loaded garlic mashed potatoes at home. Mix up a few ingredients and you can have this tasty side dish for dinner anytime you want.


Instructions








1. Peel and wash the potatoes and cut them into small slices. Put the potatoes in a large pot with enough water to cover the potatoes completely. Add the garlic powder. Place the pot of potatoes on the stove and cook on high heat for about 15 to 20 minutes or until the potatoes are tender. Drain the water.


2. Place the potatoes into a large bowl and mash them until all lumps are gone. Add the butter, milk or cream, salt and pepper. Stir until butter has melted and the potatoes are creamy.


3. Transfer the mashed potatoes into a large casserole dish, sprinkle them with the chopped onion and bacon. Add dollops of sour cream over the top and sprinkle generously with sour cream. Place the potatoes into the oven preheated to 350 F. Bake for 10 or 15 minutes, or just long enough for the cheese to melt.
