Make Imitation Crab Ceviche

Crab ceviche can be made with imitation crab meat for ease or cost.








Ceviche is a dish that originated in South America and uses a variety seafood or shellfish. Although the exact birthplace of ceviche is unknown, it is considered Peru's national dish. Ceviche is made differently in each country but is usually served cold. It can be served as an appetizer or as an entr e depending on what else it is served with. You can replace real crab meat in ceviche with imitation crab meat without sacrificing the great taste of the dish.


Instructions








1. Place the imitation crab meat in a large bowl. Break apart any large pieces.


2. Add lime juice from two limes. Include the chopped onion, cilantro, jicama, tomatoes and cucumbers in the same bowl.


3. Mix in tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce and remaining lime juice. Add salt and pepper to taste.


4. Stir until all the ingredients are well blended and coated completely. Serve with tortilla chips or bread.
