Mini Cheesecake Crust Recipe

Mini Cheesecakes


Nothing makes a person's mouth water like a piece of cheesecake. Whether the cheesecake is mini or large, it is a dreamy dessert. There are many recipes to make the cheesecake and the crust. All add their own special flair, but a basic graham cracker crust is all you need to make if you're making mini cheesecakes. Not only is it simple, it also tastes good and you don't need many ingredients.








Gathering the Ingredients


When making your mini cheesecake crusts, you will need 1.5 cups of crushed graham crackers, ¼ cup of plain white sugar and 5 tablespoons of butter. You can either use paper cupcake holders to put your crust in or put the crust directly into an aluminum cupcake holder. This recipe will make approximately eight crusts. You can also add cinnamon if you want.


Mixing the Crust


Crush 1.5 cups of graham crackers. You can place the whole graham crackers into a plastic bag and smash them with your hand or a cup. This will keep all the crumbs together, and you won't have a mess to clean up. Place your crushed graham crackers into a medium-sized mixing bowl. Pour sugar into the bowl and mix it with the graham crackers. Melt your butter and pour it into the graham crackers and sugar. Mix the ingredients together. Make sure the graham cracker mixture is completely moistened with the butter so the crust will stick together and not crumble.


Filling the Cups








If you are using cupcake holders, place a holder into an opening in a cupcake pan that holds eight cupcakes. If not, you will be placing the crust mixture directly into the pan. Scoop out a heaping tablespoon of crust mixture and place it into a holder. Using your fingers, smash the crust down firmly into the bottom of the holder. Continue filling each holder and smashing the crust down so it will hold together. Once you have your holders filled with the graham cracker crust, you can then fill each holder with the cheesecake recipe of your choice. Remember to refrigerate the cheesecakes once they are completed so they do not spoil.
