Roast A Stuffed Turkey

Preparing a roast stuffed turkey isn't an overwhelming task if you divide the meal making into steps. This recipe is for a turkey that has been sectioned into two stuffed breasts, two stuffed thighs and the chicken wings and drumsticks.

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Stuff the various turkey pieces.

2. Rub the stuffed turkey pieces with olive oil. This will keep the skin and meat tender and moist. Season with salt, pepper, garlic and onion powder.

3. Add enough water to the bottom of your roasting pan to attain a 1/2-inch depth. Place the turkey pieces in your pan. Lay the breasts on the roasting rack. Place the stuffed thighs on either side of the rack. Tuck the drumsticks and the wings wherever they fit.

4. Pop the roasting pan into the oven and cook between 60 and 75 minutes. The turkey is done when a meat thermometer reads at least 165 degrees Fahrenheit at the center of the breasts and thighs. The ideal temperature for moist stuffed turkey is between 165 to 175 degrees.

5. Let the roasted turkey sit 15 to 30 minutes to rest. This will keep the meat moist when you cut it open. If you cut directly into a hot bird, the juices will run and the meat will dry out.
