Make Perfect Peanut Butter Fudge

Peanut butter fudge can be served as a sweet, bite-sized treat.

Homemade fudge is a dessert that can be served on many different occasions. Fudge is traditionally made by mixing three different ingredients --- milk, sugar and butter --- heating them up then beating the mixture into a soft consistency while it cools. Traditional fudge is made with cocoa, but many other flavors beside chocolate can be created. Peanut butter fudge contrasts the sweetness of the sugar with the saltiness of the peanuts. Serve peanut putter fudge at your next dinner party, bake sale or family event.

Instructions

1. Heat up a saucepan on your stovetop and melt a 1/2 cup of butter.

2. Stir into the melted butter 2.25 cups brown sugar and 1/2 cup milk.

3. Bring the mixture to a boil and stir. Do this for about two minutes.

4. Take the saucepan off of the stovetop and mix in 3/4 cup peanut better and 1 tsp. vanilla extract.

5. Pour 3.5 cups confectioner's sugar into a bowl. Make sure that the bowl is large enough to mix all of the ingredients.

6. Pour the mixture from the saucepan (that is still hot) into the mixing bowl. While you are doing this begin beating the mixture. Continue beating the mixture until it is smooth.

7. Dump the fudge mixture into a pan and set it in the refrigerator so that the temperature can cool down. Leave the fudge in the fridge for at least an hour.

8. Take the fudge out of the fridge and cut it up into small squares. One-inch squares are a typical serving size.
