Cook Whole Salmon

Salmon is not only delicious, but good for you as well. Salmon is an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids and protein. And, because of the oily texture of salmon, it is also notoriously difficult to overcook. Not that you'll have to worry about that after following these simple steps.

Instructions

1. Place the cleaned whole salmon on a piece of foil large enough to wrap around the entire fish.

2. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.

3. Place the sliced lemon, oranges and onion in the cavity of the salmon. Also add a handful of the fresh herbs.

4. Bring the foil up around the body of the salmon and pour in 1 cup of white wine. Season with the salt and pepper and draw the foil up tightly to form a seal.

5. Carefully place the salmon on a large baking sheet. To determine the cooking time, measure around the fish at its thickest point and cook for 5 minutes per inch. When the salmon has finished cooking, loosen the foil and allow it to cool before serving.
