2. Secure the initial franchise fee of $20,000 to $25,000 minimum.
3. Be prepared to make a total investment of $123,000 to $350,000. The total capital can be financed through a third party. If this will be a requirement for you, be sure to put together a detailed business plan.
4. Review the Uniform Franchise Offering Circular (UFOC) with a lawyer and accountant. The UFOC must be provided to you by the franchiser at least a week and a half prior to the signing of any documents.
5. Feel free to visit any facility that may already be operating in your area. Jenny Craig requires that all of their stores are owner operated, so it would be as simple as placing a phone call to locate the franchise owner.
6. Consider visiting Jenny Craig's headquarters in Carlsbad, California (if your budget allows) to meet with influential members of management.
7. Locate and lease a facility and equipment, stock the store with the required inventory and have the grand opening.
