Make Pomegranate Iced Tea

Iced tea is a wonderfully refreshing drink on a hot day. This beverage is also packed with antioxidants which are thought to improve health and prolong life spans. It's a delicious way to enhance your well-being.

Instructions

1. Boil at least 9 cups of water in a tea kettle.

2. Add 8 black tea bags to 8 cups of boiling water and allow them to steep for 10 minutes in a teapot or heatproof container. Mix the remaining cup of water with a cup of sugar. Stir to dissolve the sugar to create a syrup which guests can add to their tea later. Set the syrup aside.

3. Remove the tea bags from the pot and add 1/4 cup of sugar. Stir to dissolve the sugar. Place the teapot or heatproof container in the refrigerator for 3 hours or until cooled.

4. Mix 2 cups of pomegranate juice with the cooled tea. Either return the iced tea to the refrigerator or serve it immediately in a tall glass with ice.

5. Garnish your pomegranate iced tea with wedges of lemon or lime with the syrup on the side.
