Make Egyptian Eyeliner







The earliest mention of makeup in history is recorded during the time of the Pharaohs in Egypt. The women and men of this time period used kohl to line the area around their eyes for beauty, as well as for ceremonial burials and rituals. Knowing make your own Egyptian eyeliner at home is not time consuming and it gives you the opportunity to experiment with ancient techniques for providing your face with enhanced cosmetic beauty.


Instructions








1. Add the shea butter and kohl powder to the glass mixing bowl. These materials are easy to obtain from a craft and hobby supply vendor or from a beauty supply store.


2. Microwave the bowl for 40 seconds to 1 minute. During this time, the shea butter will melt.


3. Stir the contents of the bowl quickly with a disposable stirring wand, also obtained from a craft or beauty store.


4. Pour the resulting mixture into a 2 oz. makeup container. This homemade Egyptian eyeliner is natural and can be easily applied with a fine makeup brush.
