Make Pulled Pork In A Slow Cooker

Make Pulled Pork In A Slow Cooker

Pulled pork sandwiches are about as American as the potato salad that is usually served with them. The pork is seasoned well, slow cooked until it's ready to fall apart and served in a barbecue sauce. Complete the meal by serving the pork on a toasted Kaiser roll.

Instructions

1. Place the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, mustard, garlic, paprika, brown sugar, liquid smoke, chili powder, cayenne pepper and ground pepper in a bowl and thoroughly whisk the ingredients together. Add the onions to the mixture and mix together.

2. Place about a third of the sauce into the bottom of the slow cooker and then place the pork shoulder on top of it. Pour the remainder of the sauce on top of the pork shoulder and place the lid on the slow cooker. Set it for low and then cook eight to 10 hours.

3. Remove the meat when it is tender and can be pulled apart by a fork. Break the meat apart with a fork. Return the meat to the slow cooker and mix with the warm sauce.
