make fabulous Holiday macaroni & cheese.

Instructions

1. There are many recipes for macaroni & cheese. However, I have a holiday recipe for macaroni & cheese that is best that you will ever taste. You will need 1 pound of macaroni, 1 pound of Cracker Barrel extra sharp white cheddar, 1 pound of Vermont sharp yellow cheddar, 1 pound of cooper sharp, ½ pound of Monterey jack cheese, 2 cups of heavy cream, 2 tablespoons garlic powder, 1 tablespoon salt, 1 tablespoon black pepper, 4 egg yolks (not the whites), 1 cup of freshly chopped parsley, ½ cup breadcrumbs, ½ cup of bacon bits and 1 stick of unsalted butter.

2. In large saucepan melt butter, add cream and gradually add all cheeses (make sure you grate the cheese before adding). Make sure you stir constantly to avoid any sticking or burning. Next, after all cheeses are added make sure it melts and continue stirring.

3. Next, remove from stove add garlic powder, salt and pepper, cover and place aside. Cook elbow macaroni according to box directions, drain and place aside. Next, take the egg yolks and beat well before adding to cheese mixture. Gradually add egg mixture to cheese mixture, add parsley and breadcrumbs stir and mix well cover and set aside.

4. Finally, add macaroni to cheese mixture, mix well, place in a large glass casserole dish, and add bacon bits as a final topping and garnish. Place in a 325-degree oven for 25 minutes. Remove from oven, let stand 10 minutes and serve. Enjoy!!
