Get Beachy Hair Like Celebrities

Create a beachy hairstyle using your hair's natural waviness.

Style your hair the way celebrities do by creating beachy waves from straight, wavy or curly hair. The beachy waves create a look that is natural, with loose and nonuniform waves, and is possible to achieve with any type of hair. If your hair is naturally wavy, the process will be more simple, but those with straight or even curly hair can also get this result. No matter which method you choose, you can have natural, beautiful wavy hair for a casual look.

Instructions

1. Turn straight hair into beachy waves by doing a french braid. The braid should be as tight as is comfortable and be done at night just before bed. Secure it at the bottom with a rubber band and wear it all night. When you wake up, unravel the braid and finger comb your hair to separate the waves how you like them.

2. Put your hair into pin curls if you have straight hair and want beachy waves. Start by separating your damp hair into four sections. Wrap each section, one by one, around one of your fingers into a spiral and pin the spiral to your head. Blow-dry your hair while in the pin curls. Remove the pins once your hair has dried completely.

3. Use a curling iron to get relaxed, beachy waves with straight hair. Start by washing and drying your hair as you normally would. Turn the curling iron on. One small section at a time, wrap the section of hair around the entire curling iron, not using the iron's clamp. Hold it for about 10 seconds, then release and continue for the rest of your hair.

4. Turn your naturally wavy hair into beachy waves by first applying a good anti-frizz serum and leave-in conditioner if you have overly dry or damaged hair. When your hair is still damp, dry it using a diffuser while finger-combing your hair until you get the type of waves you want.

5. Turn your naturally curly hair into wavy hair by using a shampoo and conditioner with silicone, which will weigh down your curls. When your hair is still damp, wrap it in a tight ponytail and wrap the ponytail around into a bun; secure with a clip or rubber band. Leave your hair in the bun until it is dry, then let it out.
