Sending gifts to loved ones or deserving colleagues has never been easier with the advancement of technology. Instead of the usual flowers and chocolate, gift sending has evolved to include soaps, fruits and wines, among other things. There is no need to even set foot inside a gift shop anymore. With the use of the Internet, selecting, purchasing and shipping wine to someplace local or faraway can be done with just a few mouse clicks.
Instructions
1. Open a browser on your computer and navigate to one of the many websites that allow you to buy and send wine.
2. Browse through the selection of wine and wine gift basket options that the website offers. Click on selections to view more information.
3. Click on the "Add to Cart" button when you have selected the bottle or basket of wine that you would like to send. Add any additional bottles or baskets to your cart if you want to send more than one.
4. Select a shipping method from the drop-down box. Choosing different methods will show you the estimated delivery time as well as the shipping charges.
5. Click on the "Check Out" button to finish your order. This will take you to a new page, detailing the items you've ordered along with prices, any applicable taxes, fees and shipping charges.
6. Finalize your order by filling in any personal information, financial information and a personalized note to accompany your gift. You will need to give your name, address and credit card information as well as information pertaining to the recipient. The website will need to know where to send the wine and who is receiving it. Your credit card information will also be needed to purchase the wine, verify legal age and pay for any fees.
7. Click on the "Send" button when all of your information is correct. The system will verify your personal and financial information and direct you to a confirmation page. The confirmation page shows that your gift has been sent and you will be billed on your credit card. Keep your confirmation page for your records.
