Use Vinegar To Get A Grape Juice Stain Out Of Carpet

Grape juice, like many fruit juices, can stain carpet and other textiles if spilled on them. Accidents happen in every home, though, so if you do get grape juice spilled on your carpet try not to worry. If you act quickly, you should get the juice up easily. Even if it has sat for a while or dried on the carpet, you should still be able to remove the stain by using a vinegar solution. White vinegar is an inexpensive yet effective household cleaner and deodorizer that can treat many stains, including grape juice.

Instructions

1. Press paper towels against the grape juice spill. Keep applying new paper towels until no more grape juice is showing up on the paper towels.

2. Pour 1 cup of vinegar and 2 cups of water into a bowl. Put on rubber gloves and wet a clean white cloth in the white vinegar solution.

3. Dab this vinegar solution on the grape juice stain, pressing lightly to pull up the grape color from the carpet. Switch to a clean area of the cloth when one area is dirty, and switch to a new cloth entirely when you run out of clean areas on the cloth.

4. Blot the area with a cloth wet with plain water when you are finished. Follow with a dry cloth to speed drying.
