Instructions
1. Wash jars, rings and lids in hot water, then place in boiling water for 10 minutes to sterilize. Reduce heat and remove jars - leave lids and rings in hot water for now.
2. Finish preparing your honey pumpkin butter. Pour or ladle the hot honey pumpkin butter into the hot jars, leaving approximately 1/4 inch of space from top - placing in cool jars may cause the glass to break. Remove air bubbles by stirring and scraping sides of the jars with a spoon. Wipe any spilled butter off the top of the jars using a clean rag.
3. Remove lids and rings from hot water - screw tightly onto the jars immediately.
4. Place the full jars with lids secured into a pot of boiling water - jars must be fully submerged. Cover and let sit for approximately five minutes. Carefully remove jars from boiling water and set aside to cool.
5. Shake jars every five to 10 minutes until the honey pumpkin butter is fully hardened.
