Make Eggs With Liquid Egg Whites

Liquid egg whites provide a way to eat eggs with reduced cholesterol content. If you enjoy eggs but want to eat healthy, or your doctor has advised that you reduce your egg yolk consumption, liquid egg whites are a viable option. Cook the egg whites properly to obtain the best finished product for either cooking method.

Instructions

Stove top

1. Spray a non-stick pan with cooking spray. Heat the pan on the stove over medium heat.

2. Shake the liquid egg whites before measuring them. Measure 1/4-cup egg whites for every egg you would normally use. Pour the mixture into the preheated pan.

3. Watch for the edges and bottom to begin to set. Break up and turn the egg whites with a spatula to scramble them. Cook for an additional minute until the whites are fully set with no visible liquid.

Microwave

4. Spray a microwave-safe bowl with cooking spray. Shake the egg whites container, then measure 1/4-cup of liquid egg whites for every egg equivalent you want to cook.

5. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap. Cook the mixture in the microwave for 45 seconds on the high heat setting.

6. Stir the eggs. Continue to cook them in 20 second increments, stirring afterward until the mixture is fully set with no visible liquid.
