Fry Catfish

This article will teach you fry the best catfish.


Instructions


1. Fill a large 4 inch deep skillet half full of Vegetable Oil.








2. Heat the oil just above medium heat (number 7 if electric) for 20 minutes


3. While oil is heating fill a plastic bag with cornmeal and coat the catfish filets with mayonnaise thoroughly on each side


4. After the catfish is thoroughly coated place it in the bag with cornmeal and shake it up vigorously. The cornmeal will stick to the mayonnaise on the catfish. Be sure the cat fish is well coated.








5. By this time your grease should be hot enough to fry the catfish. Carefully place one piece at a time into the grease. The first piece should start frying right away and sizzle. This is how you know if your grease is hot enough.


6. Gently flip each filet once with a fork after the first 7-10 minutes of frying. When the catfish is golden brown and the bubbling reaction to the grease has settled down considerably then your catfish is done.


7. Place the cat fish onto a plate covered with two layers of paper towels. Once you have the catfish on the place generously sprinkle Johnny's seasoning onto the catfish while it is still hot.


8. Grab a piece throw some hot sauce on it and enjoy!!
