Make Easy Delicious Coleslaw Dressing With 4 Items

Adding green onions to your coleslaw dressing gives it an extra kick.

Coleslaw comes from the Dutch word "koolsla" meaning cabbage salad. Coleslaw is a salad that is made of raw shredded cabbage; it usually has one or two other vegetables and sometimes fruit added. It is often eaten with a mayonnaise or vinaigrette dressing. Using only four ingredients -- mayonnaise, sugar, vinegar and green onions -- you can make an easy and delicious coleslaw dressing.

Instructions

1. Scoop the mayonnaise from the measuring cup into your medium sized bowl with your spoon. Pour 1/4 cup of sugar making a small hill on top of the mayonnaise. Press the back of the spoon into the sugar to make an indentation; do not mix the sugar and mayonnaise together.

2. Add 2 tbsp. of vinegar into the middle of the sugar hill on top of the mayonnaise. Wait a few seconds for the vinegar to begin dissolving the sugar then mix the three ingredients together with your spoon. Taste the mixture and add more mayonnaise, sugar or vinegar to taste.

3. Place two leaves of green onion on the chopping board. Chop the green onion leaves into 1/4 inch pieces with a sharp knife. Add the chopped green onion to the mixture in the bowl. Mix the four ingredients together to make a smooth dressing.
