Grill London Broil

There are a couple of ways to think of London broil. The act of preparing a relatively tough cut of meat by pan frying it until it reaches medium rare is the traditional definition of London broil. It has since taken on a new meaning, though. People now think of London broil as a recipe that calls for marinating the meat before preparing it on a grill or frying it in a pan. You can also broil London broil.

Instructions

1. Make your London broil marinade by mixing together all of the ingredients except the onion. Ensure that you combine the ingredients well, then add the onion to the marinade.

2. Place your London broil in a plastic bag that you can seal. Add your marinade and refrigerate the steak overnight, turning the plastic bag over a couple of times.

3. Remove your London broil from the marinade, and place it on a grill at high heat. Cook each side for three minutes, then lower the grill temperature to medium.

4. Grill your London broil on medium heat for five to six minutes. Turn the meat over once after two to three minutes of grilling.

5. Serve your London broil after you cut the steak diagonally across the grain. Cut thin slices, and serve your London broil with some of the warmed, leftover marinade.
