Dining Out on a Budget in New York City!
1. Eat at Pizzerias. New York City is full of amazing pizzerias, from the legendary Di Fara in Brooklyn to all of the Ray's pizzeria restaurants scattered through the boroughs. A pizzera is a very quick and cheap way to get a satisfying meal. From slices of large, cheesy pizza to calzones and strombolis, a New York City pizzeria is a surefire way to get a great meal without spending a lot of money.
2. Stop by one of New York's many legendary diners. New York is full of great diners, such as Moonstruck, where you can get a hearty, warm meal at an unbelievably low price. From grilled cheese sandwiches to exotic Greek delights, what more could you ask for?
3. Swing by a street vendor. Okay, so this might not exactly be classified as "dining out," however, this is one of New York's classic ways to get a quick bite. Hot dogs, falafels, souvlakis. New York's street vendors are a great way to get the quintessential New York "eating experience."
4. Dine at a Chinese buffet restaurant. New York is full of Chinese buffet restaurants with great, unlimited Chinese (and often American) food. You can find these low-priced Chinese buffet restaurants in the Chinatown section, but they're scattered all over the boroughs as well. Bottomless dim sum and spring rolls and maybe even french fries too--what a meal!
5. Try a Thai fast food joint. Thai fast food joints are popping up all over the city as Thai food increases in popularity. Cheap, quick, and like a more flavorful Chinese meal, this is a quick way to gain energy as you prepare for a day of walking around the bustling metropolis of Manhattan.
