Brewer'S Yeast To Your Diet

Brewer's yeast is packed with vitamins and minerals, making it an inexpensive way to fortify your meals with these extra nutrients. The nutritious supplement, which gets its name from its role in brewing beer, is also sometimes called nutritional yeast. But where can you use it? Read on to find our how you can add brewer's yeast to your diet.

Instructions

1. The easiest way to take brewer's yeast is to stir a teaspoonful into a glass of vegetable juice (tomato juice is perfect). Because the supplement has a nutty or cheese-like taste, it works best with non-sweet juices.

2. The most delicious way to use brewer's yeast is by sprinkling it over popcorn. Popcorn brings out the supplement's cheese-like flavor, making it possible to enjoy the popcorn with less added salt or butter. A sprinkle of garlic salt enhances this quality even more.

3. Add up to a tablespoonful of brewer's yeast to soups, either homemade or canned, while you cook them. The flavor will not be noticeable.

4. Add up to a teaspoonful of brewer's yeast to the batter or dough of baked goods, especially any product that will have nuts in it. Peanut butter cookies are a great place to add brewer's yeast.

5. Add a tablespoonful or more of brewer's yeast to ground beef and mix in well before making hamburger patties or meatloaf.
