Use Candy Molds To Make Jello Jigglers

Brightly colored Jell-O is a hit at any party. Formed into tiny hearts, stars or other shapes, Jell-O Jigglers will become the star of the evening. While Jell-O makes its own Jell-O Jigglers molds, any plastic or silicone candy mold you own will make fun, tasty, colorful shapes.

Mixing Jell-O

To use your Jell-O in candy molds, mix as the package directs, adding 1 cup of boiling water to a 3-ounce package of gelatin. You can also substitute your favorite fruit juice; simply bring it to a boil before mixing it with the Jell-O powder. Stir the Jell-O until all the powder is dissolved.

Pouring Jell-O

Whether you're using a Jell-O Jigglers mold or your own candy mold, spray it lightly with nonstick cooking spray before use. This will allow the Jigglers to pop out easier when set. Pour the Jell-O into the mold, filling each cavity evenly.

Removing Jell-O

Refrigerate the Jell-O until it sets, about three hours. Dip the bottom of the mold in warm water for 15 seconds and invert the mold over a plate. If your molds are made of silicone, you can gently press the bottom of each cavity and the Jigglers should slip right out.

Conclusion

Any fun-shaped molds can give your Jell-O an extra kick and allow you to serve up treats shaped like mini fruits, Easter eggs or animals. Make sure to coat molds with cooking spray before using, and refrigerate until you are certain the Jigglers are set.
