Ironing is an easy way to make denim look crisp.
Crisply ironed pants can help create a pulled-together appearance. Obtaining a polished and crisp look while wearing casual denim can be easily achieved with a few simple steps. Take a few moments of time prior to wearing to properly iron a pair of clean denim jeans. Whether new or old, ironing can provide a crisp and neat appearance that is sure to be noticed. Avoiding loose, wrinkled and sloppy denim illustrates your meticulous standards, even in a casual setting.
Instructions
1. Prepare for ironing by setting up your ironing board. Heat the iron to its highest temperature with the steam function enabled.
2. Lay one entire leg of your clean denim jeans flat on the ironing board. Fold it in half so the crease will appear along the middle of the front (and back) of the jeans.
3. Spray starch or sizing onto the area about to be ironed.
4. Press the iron firmly on the first leg of the denim jeans, gliding over the material to flatten. Run the iron up and down the length of the pant leg until all creases are out and a crisp appearance is achieved.
5. Move the jeans so the other leg is situated flat on the ironing board. Repeat the ironing process, careful to avoid wrinkling the previously ironed portion.
6. Place a sheet of waxed paper between the legs of the pants and the hanger prior to hanging. This eliminates any crease the hanger may leave.
