Use craft supplies to turn Tootsie Pops into more than just a sweet treat.
Tootsie Pops are as tasty as they are versatile. Keep a bag on hand along with some craft supplies and you and the kids can whip up some yummy fun at any time. Give them as gifts, as thank you's or just for fun. Use them as place settings or tags on gift bags or boxes.
Corsage
Unwrap two Tootsie Pops, one red and one orange. Wrap the candy portion in clear cellophane, with the excess cellophane at the bottom of the Tootsie Pop. Lay two or three silk leaves face up on the work table and lay the Tootsie Pops on them. Gather the stems together and wrap them in floral tape. Catch the excess cellophane in the floral tape as well. Tie a ribbon around the stem to complete this sweet corsage.
Flower Pot
Fill a small clay flower pot with jelly beans. Cut construction paper into squares. Cut each square edge into scalloped edges and poke a Tootsie Pop stick through the center of the square, creating Tootsie Pop flowers. Plant your flowers in the flower pot. Give this gift for Valentines Day, Mother's Day or Easter.
Angels
Cut a piece of white tissue paper into a square. Center the Tootsie Pop on the paper and gather the paper around the base of the lollipop. Wrap a gold pipe cleaner around the base of the Tootsie Pop and fashion the ends into wings at the back of the Tootsie Pop. Add a gold pipe cleaner halo to her head and draw on eyes and a mouth.
Spiders
Unwrap a Tootsie Pop and wrap it with black cellophane. Center a black pipe cleaner on the stem and twist it around so it makes a full loop around the stem. Bend each pipe cleaner end into an upside down "W" shape to create two spider legs, one on each side of the stem. Do this with three additional pipe cleaners so you have four spider legs on either side of the stem.
